2025-09-26selftests: forwarding: lib: Add an autodefer variant of simple_if_init()Petr Machata
Most forwarding tests invoke simple_if_init() to set up a VRF-based "host" and simple_if_fini() to tear it down again. Add a helper, adf_simple_if_init(), which is like simple_if_fini(), but takes care of scheduling the cleanup automatically. Convert the tests that currently use defer to schedule the cleanup. 2025-09-26selftests: forwarding: lib: Add an autodefer variant of vrf_prepare()Petr Machata
Most forwarding tests invoke vrf_prepare() to set up VRF forwarding and vrf_cleanup() to restore the original configuration. Add a helper, adf_vrf_prepare(), which is like vrf_prepare(), but takes care of scheduling the cleanup automatically. Convert a number of tests that currently use defer to schedule the cleanup. 2024-10-22selftests: RED: Use defer for test cleanupPetr Machata
Instead of having a suite of dedicated cleanup functions, use the defer framework to schedule cleanups right as their setup functions are run. The sleep after stop_traffic() in mlxsw selftests is necessary, but scheduling it as "defer sleep; defer stop_traffic" is silly. Instead, add a local helper to stop traffic and sleep afterwards. 2024-03-28selftests: forwarding: Mark performance-sensitive testsPetr Machata
When run on a slow machine, the scheduler traffic tests can be expected to fail, and should be reported as XFAIL in that case. Therefore run these tests through the perf_sensitive wrapper. 2022-09-22selftests: forwarding: add shebang for sch_red.shHangbin Liu
RHEL/Fedora RPM build checks are stricter, and complain when executable files don't have a shebang line, e.g. *** WARNING: ./kselftests/net/forwarding/sch_red.sh is executable but has no shebang, removing executable bit Fix it by adding shebang line. 2020-06-29selftests: forwarding: Add a RED test for SW datapathPetr Machata
This test is inspired by the mlxsw RED selftest. It is much simpler to set up (also because there is no point in testing PRIO / RED encapsulation). It tests bare RED, ECN and ECN+nodrop modes of operation. On top of that it tests RED early_drop and mark qevents. Signed-off-by: Petr Machata <petrm@mellanox.com> Signed-off-by: David S.
