2025-09-22selftests/bpf: Enable signature verification for some lskel testsKP Singh
The test harness uses the verify_sig_setup.sh to generate the required key material for program signing. Generate key material for signing LSKEL some lskel programs and use xxd to convert the verification certificate into a C header file. Finally, update the main test runner to load this certificate into the session keyring via the add_key() syscall before executing any tests. Use the session keyring in the tests with signed programs. 2022-02-02selftests/bpf: Migrate from bpf_prog_test_runDelyan Kratunov
bpf_prog_test_run is being deprecated in favor of the OPTS-based bpf_prog_test_run_opts. We end up unable to use CHECK in most cases, so replace usages with ASSERT_* calls. 2021-10-28selftests/bpf: Add weak/typeless ksym test for light skeletonKumar Kartikeya Dwivedi
Also, avoid using CO-RE features, as lskel doesn't support CO-RE, yet. Include both light and libbpf skeleton in same file to test both of them together. In c48e51c8b07a ("bpf: selftests: Add selftests for module kfunc support"), I added support for generating both lskel and libbpf skel for a BPF object, however the name parameter for bpftool caused collisions when included in same file together. This meant that every test needed a separate file for a libbpf/light skeleton separation instead of subtests. Change that by appending a "_lskel" suffix to the name for files using light skeleton, and convert all existing users. 2020-06-30bpf: Add tests for PTR_TO_BTF_ID vs. null comparisonYonghong Song
Add two tests for PTR_TO_BTF_ID vs. null ptr comparison, one for PTR_TO_BTF_ID in the ctx structure and the other for PTR_TO_BTF_ID after one level pointer chasing. In both cases, the test ensures condition is not removed. For example, for this test struct bpf_fentry_test_t { struct bpf_fentry_test_t *a; }; int BPF_PROG(test7, struct bpf_fentry_test_t *arg) { if (arg == 0) test7_result = 1; return 0; } Before the previous verifier change, we have xlated codes: int test7(long long unsigned int * ctx): ; int BPF_PROG(test7, struct bpf_fentry_test_t *arg) 0: (79) r1 = *(u64 *)(r1 +0) ; int BPF_PROG(test7, struct bpf_fentry_test_t *arg) 1: (b4) w0 = 0 2: (95) exit After the previous verifier change, we have: int test7(long long unsigned int * ctx): ; int BPF_PROG(test7, struct bpf_fentry_test_t *arg) 0: (79) r1 = *(u64 *)(r1 +0) ; if (arg == 0) 1: (55) if r1 != 0x0 goto pc+4 ; test7_result = 1; 2: (18) r1 = map[id:6][0]+48 4: (b7) r2 = 1 5: (7b) *(u64 *)(r1 +0) = r2 ; int BPF_PROG(test7, struct bpf_fentry_test_t *arg) 6: (b4) w0 = 0 7: (95) exit Signed-off-by: Yonghong Song <yhs@fb.com> Signed-off-by: Daniel Borkmann <daniel@iogearbox.net> Acked-by: John Fastabend <john.fastabend@gmail.com> Acked-by: Andrii Nakryiko <andriin@fb.com> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/bpf/20200630171241.2523875-1-yhs@fb.com
2020-03-04bpf: Add test ops for BPF_PROG_TYPE_TRACINGKP Singh
The current fexit and fentry tests rely on a different program to exercise the functions they attach to. Instead of doing this, implement the test operations for tracing which will also be used for BPF_MODIFY_RETURN in a subsequent patch. Also, clean up the fexit test to use the generated skeleton. 2019-12-17bpftool, selftests/bpf: Embed object file inside skeletonAndrii Nakryiko
Embed contents of BPF object file used for BPF skeleton generation inside skeleton itself. This allows to keep BPF object file and its skeleton in sync at all times, and simpifies skeleton instantiation. Also switch existing selftests to not require BPF_EMBED_OBJ anymore.
