qmc_qe_init_resources() [ Upstream commit 3f4e403304186d79fddace860360540fc3af97f9 ] Fix wrong variable used for error checking after devm_ioremap_resource() call. The function checks qmc->scc_pram instead of qmc->dpram, which could lead to incorrect error handling. 2026-03-25soc: fsl: qbman: fix race condition in qman_destroy_fqRichard Genoud
[ Upstream commit 014077044e874e270ec480515edbc1cadb976cf2 ] When QMAN_FQ_FLAG_DYNAMIC_FQID is set, there's a race condition between fq_table[fq->idx] state and freeing/allocating from the pool and WARN_ON(fq_table[fq->idx]) in qman_create_fq() gets triggered. Indeed, we can have: Thread A Thread B qman_destroy_fq() qman_create_fq() qman_release_fqid() qman_shutdown_fq() gen_pool_free() -- At this point, the fqid is available again -- qman_alloc_fqid() -- so, we can get the just-freed fqid in thread B -- fq->fqid = fqid; fq->idx = fqid * 2; WARN_ON(fq_table[fq->idx]); fq_table[fq->idx] = fq; fq_table[fq->idx] = NULL; And adding some logs between qman_release_fqid() and fq_table[fq->idx] = NULL makes the WARN_ON() trigger a lot more. To prevent that, ensure that fq_table[fq->idx] is set to NULL before gen_pool_free() is called by using smp_wmb(). 2026-03-25soc: microchip: mpfs: Fix memory leak in mpfs_sys_controller_probe()Zilin Guan
[ Upstream commit 5a741f8cc6fe62542f955cd8d24933a1b6589cbd ] In mpfs_sys_controller_probe(), if of_get_mtd_device_by_node() fails, the function returns immediately without freeing the allocated memory for sys_controller, leading to a memory leak. Fix this by jumping to the out_free label to ensure the memory is properly freed. Also, consolidate the error handling for the mbox_request_channel() failure case to use the same label. [ Upstream commit 75fb63ae031211e9264ac888fabc2ca9cd3fcccf ] Currently, only the first matched node will be handled. 2026-03-04soc: ti: pruss: Fix double free in pruss_clk_mux_setup()Wentao Liang
[ Upstream commit 80db65d4acfb9ff12d00172aed39ea8b98261aad ] In the pruss_clk_mux_setup(), the devm_add_action_or_reset() indirectly calls pruss_of_free_clk_provider(), which calls of_node_put(clk_mux_np) on the error path. However, after the devm_add_action_or_reset() returns, the of_node_put(clk_mux_np) is called again, causing a double free. Fix by returning directly, to avoid the duplicate of_node_put(). 2026-03-04soc/tegra: pmc: Fix unsafe generic_handle_irq() callPrathamesh Shete
[ Upstream commit e6d96073af681780820c94079b978474a8a44413 ] Currently, when resuming from system suspend on Tegra platforms, the following warning is observed: WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 14459 at kernel/irq/irqdesc.c:666 Call trace: handle_irq_desc+0x20/0x58 (P) tegra186_pmc_wake_syscore_resume+0xe4/0x15c syscore_resume+0x3c/0xb8 suspend_devices_and_enter+0x510/0x540 pm_suspend+0x16c/0x1d8 The warning occurs because generic_handle_irq() is being called from a non-interrupt context which is considered as unsafe. Fix this warning by deferring generic_handle_irq() call to an IRQ work which gets executed in hard IRQ context where generic_handle_irq() can be called safely. When PREEMPT_RT kernels are used, regular IRQ work (initialized with init_irq_work) is deferred to run in per-CPU kthreads in preemptible context rather than hard IRQ context. Hence, use the IRQ_WORK_INIT_HARD variant so that with PREEMPT_RT kernels, the IRQ work is processed in hardirq context instead of being deferred to a thread which is required for calling generic_handle_irq(). On non-PREEMPT_RT kernels, both init_irq_work() and IRQ_WORK_INIT_HARD() execute in IRQ context, so this change has no functional impact for standard kernel configurations. 2025-11-26soc: fsl: qbman: add WQ_PERCPU to alloc_workqueue usersMarco Crivellari
Currently if a user enqueues a work item using schedule_delayed_work() the used wq is "system_wq" (per-cpu wq) while queue_delayed_work() use WORK_CPU_UNBOUND (used when a cpu is not specified). The same applies to schedule_work() that is using system_wq and queue_work(), that makes use again of WORK_CPU_UNBOUND. This lack of consistency cannot be addressed without refactoring the API. alloc_workqueue() treats all queues as per-CPU by default, while unbound workqueues must opt-in via WQ_UNBOUND. This default is suboptimal: most workloads benefit from unbound queues, allowing the scheduler to place worker threads where they’re needed and reducing noise when CPUs are isolated. This continues the effort to refactor workqueue APIs, which began with the introduction of new workqueues and a new alloc_workqueue flag in: commit 128ea9f6ccfb ("workqueue: Add system_percpu_wq and system_dfl_wq") commit 930c2ea566af ("workqueue: Add new WQ_PERCPU flag") This change adds a new WQ_PERCPU flag to explicitly request alloc_workqueue() to be per-cpu when WQ_UNBOUND has not been specified. With the introduction of the WQ_PERCPU flag (equivalent to !WQ_UNBOUND), any alloc_workqueue() caller that doesn’t explicitly specify WQ_UNBOUND must now use WQ_PERCPU. Once migration is complete, WQ_UNBOUND can be removed and unbound will become the implicit default.
