2025-12-23drm/xe: Use the drm_pagemap cache and shrinkerThomas Hellström
Define a struct xe_pagemap that embeds all pagemap-related data used by xekmd, and use the drm_pagemap cache- and shrinker to manage lifetime. 2025-07-16drm/xe: Move struct xe_vram_region to a dedicated headerPiotr Piórkowski
Let's move the xe_vram_region structure to a new header dedicated to VRAM to improve modularity and avoid unnecessary dependencies when only VRAM-related structures are needed. v2: Fix build if CONFIG_DRM_XE_DEVMEM_MIRROR is enabled v3: Fix build if CONFIG_DRM_XE_DISPLAY is enabled v4: Move helper to get tile dpagemap to xe_svm.c Signed-off-by: Piotr Piórkowski <piotr.piorkowski@intel.com> Suggested-by: Jani Nikula <jani.nikula@intel.com> Reviewed-by: Satyanarayana K V P <satyanarayana.k.v.p@intel.com> # rev3 Acked-by: Matthew Brost <matthew.brost@intel.com> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20250714184818.89201-4-piotr.piorkowski@intel.com Signed-off-by: Lucas De Marchi <lucas.demarchi@intel.com>
2025-07-16drm/xe: Use dynamic allocation for tile and device VRAM region structuresPiotr Piórkowski
In future platforms, we will need to represent the device and tile VRAM regions in a more dynamic way, so let's abandon the static allocation of these structures and start use a dynamic allocation. v2: - Add a helpers for accessing fields of the xe_vram_region structure v3: - Add missing EXPORT_SYMBOL_IF_KUNIT for xe_vram_region_actual_physical_size Signed-off-by: Piotr Piórkowski <piotr.piorkowski@intel.com> Cc: Stuart Summers <stuart.summers@intel.com> Cc: Matthew Auld <matthew.auld@intel.com> Cc: Satyanarayana K V P <satyanarayana.k.v.p@intel.com> Reviewed-by: Satyanarayana K V P <satyanarayana.k.v.p@intel.com> Acked-by: Matthew Brost <matthew.brost@intel.com> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20250714184818.89201-3-piotr.piorkowski@intel.com Signed-off-by: Lucas De Marchi <lucas.demarchi@intel.com>
2025-07-14drm/xe: Introduce xe_tile_is_root helperMichal Wajdeczko
Instead of looking at the tile->id member provide a small helper to explicitly express our intentions. 2025-06-26drm/xe: Implement and use the drm_pagemap populate_mm opThomas Hellström
Add runtime PM since we might call populate_mm on a foreign device. v3: - Fix a kerneldoc failure (Matt Brost) - Revert the bo type change from device to kernel (Matt Brost) v4: - Add an assert in xe_svm_alloc_vram (Matt Brost) Signed-off-by: Thomas Hellström <thomas.hellstrom@linux.intel.com> Reviewed-by: Matthew Brost <matthew.brost@intel.com> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20250619134035.170086-4-thomas.hellstrom@linux.intel.com
2025-01-21drm/xe: Move suballocator init to after display initMaarten Lankhorst

2023-12-21drm/xe: Introduce xe_tile_init_early and use at earlier point in probeMichał Winiarski
It also merges the GT (which is part of tile) initialization happening at xe_info_init with allocating other per-tile data structures into a common helper function. 2023-12-21drm/xe: Add sysfs entry for tileTejas Upadhyay
We have recently introduced tile for each gpu, so lets add sysfs entry per tile for userspace to provide required information specific to tile. V5: - define ktype as const V4: - Reorder headers - Aravind V3: - Make API to return void and add drm_warn - Aravind V2: - Add logs in failure path Reviewed-by: Aravind Iddamsetty <aravind.iddamsetty@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Tejas Upadhyay <tejas.upadhyay@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Rodrigo Vivi <rodrigo.vivi@intel.com>
2023-12-19drm/xe: Move migration from GT to tileMatt Roper
Migration primarily focuses on the memory associated with a tile, so it makes more sense to track this at the tile level (especially since the driver was already skipping migration operations on media GTs). Note that the blitter engine used to perform the migration always lives in the tile's primary GT today. In theory that could change if media GTs ever start including blitter engines in the future, but we can extend the design if/when that happens in the future. v2: - Fix kunit test build - Kerneldoc parameter name update v3: - Removed leftover prototype for removed function. (Gustavo) - Remove unrelated / unwanted error handling change. 2023-12-19drm/xe: Move GGTT from GT to tileMatt Roper
