refcount_t type and corresponding API should be used instead of atomic_t when the variable is used as a reference counter. This allows to avoid accidental refcounter overflows that might lead to use-after-free situations. With the restructuring of the lksctp.org site, we only allow bug reports through the SCTP mailing list linux-sctp@vger.kernel.org, not via SF, as SF is only used for web hosting and nothing more. I was notified by Randy Stewart that lksctp claims to be "the reference implementation". First of all, "the refrence implementation" was the original implementation of SCTP in usersapce written ty Randy and a few others.
