The variable pwlan has the possibility of being NULL when passed into

cfg80211_inform_bss_frame() may return NULL on failure. In that case,
the allocated buffer 'buf' is not freed and the function returns early,
leading to potential memory leak.
Fix this by ensuring that 'buf' is freed on both success and failure paths.

The return value of sdio_alloc_irq() was not stored in status.
If sdio_alloc_irq() fails after rtw_drv_register_netdev() succeeds,
status remains _SUCCESS and the error path skips resource cleanup,
while rtw_drv_init() still returns success.

Store the return value of sdio_alloc_irq() in status and reuse the
existing error handling which relies on status.

gb_lights_light_config() stores channel_count before allocating the
channels array. If kcalloc() fails, gb_lights_release() iterates the
non-zero count and dereferences light-&gt;channels, which is NULL.

Allocate channels first and only then publish channels_count so the
cleanup path can't walk a NULL pointer.

This code (tty_get -&gt; vhangup -&gt; tty_put) is repeated on few places.
Introduce a helper similar to tty_port_tty_hangup() (asynchronous) to
handle even vhangup (synchronous).

And use it on those places.

In fact, reuse the tty_port_tty_hangup()'s code and call tty_vhangup()
depending on a new bool parameter.

fbtft_probe_common() allocates a memory chunk for "info" with
fbtft_framebuffer_alloc(). When "display-&gt;buswidth == 0" is true, the
function returns without releasing the "info", which will lead to a
memory leak.

Fix it by calling fbtft_framebuffer_release() when "display-&gt;buswidth
== 0" is true.

The MOST I2C driver has been completely broken for five years without
anyone noticing so remove the driver from staging.

Specifically, commit 723de0f9171e ("staging: most: remove device from
interface structure") started requiring drivers to set the interface
device pointer before registration, but the I2C driver was never updated
which results in a NULL pointer dereference if anyone ever tries to
probe it.

These drivers don't use the driver_data member of struct i2c_device_id,
so don't explicitly initialize this member.

This prepares putting driver_data in an anonymous union which requires
either no initialization or named designators. But it's also a nice
cleanup on its own.

While touching the initializer, also remove the comma after the sentinel
entry.

The Extended Supported Rates (ESR) IE handling in OnBeacon accessed
*(p + 1 + ielen) and *(p + 2 + ielen) without verifying that these
offsets lie within the received frame buffer. A malformed beacon with
an ESR IE positioned at the end of the buffer could cause an
out-of-bounds read, potentially triggering a kernel panic.

Add a boundary check to ensure that the ESR IE body and the subsequent
bytes are within the limits of the frame before attempting to access
them.

This prevents OOB reads caused by malformed beacon frames.

The Supported Rates IE length from an incoming Association Request frame
was used directly as the memcpy() length when copying into a fixed-size
16-byte stack buffer (supportRate). A malicious station can advertise an
IE length larger than 16 bytes, causing a stack buffer overflow.

Clamp ie_len to the buffer size before copying the Supported Rates IE,
and correct the bounds check when merging Extended Supported Rates to
prevent a second potential overflow.

This prevents kernel stack corruption triggered by malformed association
requests.
