<title>PCI: host-generic: Move bridge allocation outside of pci_host_common_init()</title>

Having the host bridge allocation inside pci_host_common_init() results
in a lot of complexity in the pcie-apple driver (the only direct user
of this function outside of core PCI code).

It forces the allocation of driver-specific tracking structures outside
of the bridge allocation, which in turn requires it to use inefficient
data structures to match the bridge and the private structure as needed.

Instead, let the bridge structure be passed to pci_host_common_init(),
allowing the driver to allocate it together with the private data,
as it is usually intended. The driver can then retrieve the bridge
via the owning device attached to the PCI config window structure.
This allows the pcie-apple driver to be significantly simplified.

Both core and driver code are changed in one go to avoid going via
a transitional interface.

 "Enumeration:

   - Allow built-in drivers, not just modular drivers, to use async

   - Support Immediate Readiness even on devices with no PM Capability

   - Consolidate definition of PCIE_RESET_CONFIG_WAIT_MS (100ms), the
     required delay between a reset and sending config requests to a

     misinterpreting a config read failure after a device has been

   - Avoid creating a useless PCIe port service device for pciehp if the
     slot is handled by the ACPI hotplug driver (Lukas Wunner)

   - Ignore ACPI hotplug slots when calculating depth of pciehp hotplug

  Virtualization:

   - Save VF resizable BAR state and restore it after reset (Michał

  Endpoint framework:

     dependency in altera (fixes an unused variable), designware-host,

   - Convert aardvark, altera, brcmstb, designware-host, iproc,
     mediatek, mediatek-gen3, mobiveil, plda, rcar-host, vmd, xilinx,
     xilinx-dma, xilinx-nwl from using pci_msi_create_irq_domain() to
     using msi_create_parent_irq_domain() instead; this makes the
     interrupt controller per-PCI device, allows dynamic allocation of
     vectors after initialization, and allows support of IMS (Nam Cao)

  APM X-Gene PCIe controller driver:

   - Rewrite MSI handling to MSI CPU affinity, drop useless CPU hotplug
     bits, use device-managed memory allocations, and clean things up
     (Marc Zyngier)

   - Probe xgene-msi as a standard platform driver rather than a
     subsys_initcall (Marc Zyngier)

  Broadcom STB PCIe controller driver:

   - Add optional DT 'num-lanes' property and if present, use it to
     override the Maximum Link Width advertised in Link Capabilities

  Cadence PCIe controller driver:

   - Use PCIe Message routing types from the PCI core rather than
     defining private ones (Hans Zhang)

  Freescale i.MX6 PCIe controller driver:

Rename gen_pci_init() API as pci_host_common_ecam_create() and export it to
allow the PCIe controller drivers to create and configure the ECAM region.

Note that this API should only used by the drivers managing the drvdata on
their own. Rest should continue using pci_host_common_init() API.

The initialization of driver_data was moved after the call to
gen_pci_init(), while the pci_ecam_ops.init() callback
mc_platform_init() expects it has already been initialized.

Fix this by moving the initialization of driver_data up.

This common library will be used as a placeholder for helper functions
shared by the host controller drivers. This avoids placing the host
controller drivers specific helpers in drivers/pci/*.c, to avoid enlarging
the kernel image on platforms that do not use host controller drivers at
all (like x86/ACPI platforms).

pci_host_common_probe() is an extremely useful helper, as it
abstracts away most of the gunk that a "mostly-ECAM-compliant"
device driver needs.

However, it is structured as a probe function, meaning that a lot
of the driver-specific setup has to happen in a .init() callback,
after the bridge and config space have been instantiated.

This is a bit awkward, and results in a number of convolutions
that could be avoided if the host-common code was more like
a library.

Introduce a pci_host_common_init() helper that does exactly that,
taking the platform device and a struct pci_ecam_op as parameters.

This can then be called from the probe routine, and a lot of the
code that isn't relevant to PCI setup moved away from the .init()
callback. This also removes the dependency on the device match
data, which is an oddity.

In order to let host controller drivers using the host-generic
infrastructure use the {en,dis}able_device() callbacks that can be used to
configure sideband RID mapping hardware, provide these two callbacks as
