ntb: Fix calculation ntb_transport_tx_free_entry()

commit 5a7693e6bbf19b22fd6c1d2c4b7beb0a03969e2c upstream. ntb_transport_tx_free_entry() never returns 0 with the current calculation. If head == tail, then it would return qp->tx_max_entry. Change compare to tail >= head and when they are equal, a 0 would be returned. ntb: Clean up tx tail index on link down

commit cc79bd2738c2d40aba58b2be6ce47dc0e471df0e upstream. The tx tail index is not reset when the link goes down. This causes the tail index to go out of sync when the link goes down and comes back up. Refactor the ntb_qp_link_down_reset() and reset the tail index as well. ntb: Drop packets when qp link is down

Currently when the transport receive packets after netdev has closed the transport returns error and triggers tx errors to be incremented and carrier to be stopped. There is no reason to return error if the device is already closed. Drop the packet and return 0. NTB: ntb_transport: fix possible memory leak while device_register() fails

[ Upstream commit 8623ccbfc55d962e19a3537652803676ad7acb90 ] If device_register() returns error, the name allocated by dev_set_name() need be freed. As comment of device_register() says, it should use put_device() to give up the reference in the error path. So fix this by calling put_device(), then the name can be freed in kobject_cleanup(), and client_dev is freed in ntb_transport_client_release(). NTB: Fix the default port and peer numbers for legacy drivers

[ Upstream commit fc8b086d9dbd57458d136c4fa70ee26f832c3a2e ] When the commit adding ntb_default_port_number() and ntb_default_peer_port_number() entered the kernel there was no users of it so it was impossible to tell what the API needed. When a user finally landed a year later (ntb_pingpong) there were more NTB topologies were created and no consideration was considered to how other drivers had changed. Now that there is a user it can be fixed to provide a sensible default for the legacy drivers that do not implement ntb_{peer_}port_number(). Seeing ntb_pingpong doesn't check error codes returning EINVAL was also not sensible. Patches for ntb_pingpong and ntb_perf follow (which are broken otherwise) to support hardware that doesn't have port numbers. This is important not only to not break support with existing drivers but for the cross link topology which, due to its perfect symmetry, cannot assign unique port numbers to each side. NTB: ntb_hw_idt: replace IS_ERR_OR_NULL with regular NULL checks

The use of IS_ERR_OR_NULL is currently applied to the wrong context. Fix this by replacing IS_ERR_OR_NULL with regular NULL checks.
