[ Upstream commit 8215794403d264739cc676668087512950b2ff31 ]

When the parameter pmac_id_valid argument of be_cmd_get_mac_from_list() is
set to false, the driver may request the PMAC_ID from the firmware of the
network card, and this function will store that PMAC_ID at the provided
address pmac_id. This is the contract of this function.

However, there is a location within the driver where both
pmac_id_valid == false and pmac_id == NULL are being passed. This could
result in dereferencing a NULL pointer.

To resolve this issue, it is necessary to pass the address of a stub
variable to the function.

In be_get_new_eqd(), statistics of pkts, protected by u64_stats_sync, are
read and accumulated in ignorance of possible u64_stats_fetch_retry()
events. Before the commit in question, these statistics were retrieved
one by one directly from queues. Fix this by reading them into temporary
variables first.

be_insert_vlan_in_pkt() is called with the wrb_params argument being NULL
at be_send_pkt_to_bmc() call site. This may lead to dereferencing a NULL
pointer when processing a workaround for specific packet, as commit
bc0c3405abbb ("be2net: fix a Tx stall bug caused by a specific ipv6
packet") states.

The correct way would be to pass the wrb_params from be_xmit().

The TCP header fields seq and ack_seq are 32-bit values in network
byte order as (__be32). these fields were earlier printed using
ntohs(), which converts only 16-bit values and produces incorrect
results for 32-bit fields. This patch is changeing the conversion
to ntohl(), ensuring correct interpretation of these sequence numbers.

Notably, the format specifier is updated from %d to %u to reflect the
unsigned nature of these fields.

improves the accuracy of debug log messages for TCP sequence and
acknowledgment numbers during TX timeouts.

Drivers that are using ops lock and don't depend on RTNL lock
still need to manage it because udp_tunnel's RTNL dependency.
Introduce new udp_tunnel_nic_lock and use it instead of
rtnl_lock. Drop non-UDP_TUNNEL_NIC_INFO_MAY_SLEEP mode from
udp_tunnel infra (udp_tunnel_nic_device_sync_work needs to
grab udp_tunnel_nic_lock mutex and might sleep).

Cover more places in v4:

- netlink
  - udp_tunnel_notify_add_rx_port (ndo_open)
    - triggers udp_tunnel_nic_device_sync_work
  - udp_tunnel_notify_del_rx_port (ndo_stop)
    - triggers udp_tunnel_nic_device_sync_work
  - udp_tunnel_get_rx_info (__netdev_update_features)
    - triggers NETDEV_UDP_TUNNEL_PUSH_INFO
  - udp_tunnel_drop_rx_info (__netdev_update_features)
    - triggers NETDEV_UDP_TUNNEL_DROP_INFO
  - udp_tunnel_nic_reset_ntf (ndo_open)

- notifiers
  - udp_tunnel_nic_netdevice_event, depending on the event:
    - triggers NETDEV_UDP_TUNNEL_PUSH_INFO
    - triggers NETDEV_UDP_TUNNEL_DROP_INFO

- ethnl_tunnel_info_reply_size
- udp_tunnel_nic_set_port_priv (two intel drivers)

Logic here always sets hdr->version to 2 if it is not a BE3 or Lancer chip,
even if it is BE2. Use 'else if' to prevent multiple assignments, setting
version 0 for BE2, version 1 for BE3 and Lancer, and version 2 for others.
Fixes potential incorrect version setting when BE2_chip and
BE3_chip/lancer_chip checks could both be true.

GCC 15's new -Wunterminated-string-initialization notices that the 32
character "flash_cookie" (which is not used as a C-String)
needs to be marked as "nonstring":

drivers/net/ethernet/emulex/benet/be_cmds.c:2618:51: warning: initializer-string for array of 'char' truncates NUL terminator but destination lacks 'nonstring' attribute (17 chars into 16 available) [-Wunterminated-string-initialization]

      | ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Add this annotation, avoid using a multidimensional array, but keep the
string split (with a comment about why). Additionally mark it const
and annotate the "cookie" member that is being memcmp()ed against as
nonstring too.

Partially revert commit b71724147e73 ("be2net: replace polling with
sleeping in the FW completion path") w.r.t mcc mutex it introduces and the
use of usleep_range. The be2net be_ndo_bridge_getlink() callback is
called with rcu_read_lock, so this code has been broken for a long time.
Both the mutex_lock and the usleep_range can cause the issue Ian Kumlien
reported[1]. The call path is:
be_ndo_bridge_getlink -> be_cmd_get_hsw_config -> be_mcc_notify_wait ->
be_mcc_wait_compl -> usleep_range()
