Commit 399516ab0fee ("MAINTAINERS: Add a bunch of legacy (UMS) DRM drivers") marked savage driver obsolete 7 years ago. And the mesa UMD of this drm driver already in deprecated list in the link: https://docs.mesa3d.org/systems.html S3 Savage-->drivers/gpu/drm/savage It's time to remove this driver. We are now in the future and they are still superfluous. We can always add them again at a later date if they are ever required.
