All legacy network transports have been removed. Vector transports
provide the same capabilities with significantly higher network
throughput. There is no reason to keep the legacy network transport
infrastructure anymore. Remove it to reduce the maintenance burden.

The only dependency on uml_net (i.e., the legacy network transport
infrastructure) is the call to uml_net_setup_etheraddr(). Implement
it inside vector to eliminate the uml_net dependency completely. It
will allow us to remove uml_net in the next step.

More than five years have passed since then. Remove these network
transports to reduce the maintenance burden.

Implement a new virtual PCI driver based on the VFIO framework.
This driver allows users to pass through PCI devices to UML via
VFIO. Currently, only MSI-X capable devices are supported, and
it is assumed that drivers will use MSI-X.

Remove the pcap driver in UML. It is obsolete. It does not build on
recent systems due to changes in libpcap and its dependencies.

The vector driver's raw transport in UML provides identical
functionality.

Use "select" to ensure that the required kconfig symbols are set
as expected.
Drop HOSTAUDIO since it is now equivalent to UML_SOUND.

Set CONFIG_SOUND=m in ARCH=um defconfig files to maintain the
status quo of the default configs.

Allow SOUND with UML regardless of HAS_IOMEM. Otherwise there is a
kconfig warning for unmet dependencies. (This was not an issue when
SOUND was defined in arch/um/drivers/Kconfig. I have done 50 randconfig
builds and didn't find any issues.)

This fixes build errors when CONFIG_SOUND is not set:

ld: arch/um/drivers/hostaudio_kern.o: in function `hostaudio_cleanup_module':
hostaudio_kern.c:(.exit.text+0xa): undefined reference to `unregister_sound_mixer'
ld: hostaudio_kern.c:(.exit.text+0x15): undefined reference to `unregister_sound_dsp'

ld: hostaudio_kern.c:(.init.text+0x31): undefined reference to `register_sound_mixer'
ld: hostaudio_kern.c:(.init.text+0x49): undefined reference to `unregister_sound_dsp'

and this kconfig warning:

The manual ld invocation in arch/um/drivers doesn't play nicely with
genksyms. Given the problematic modules are deprecated anyway, just
prevent building them when using MODVERSIONS.

e.g.
MODPOST Module.symvers
arch/um/drivers/.pcap.o.cmd: No such file or directory

What a zoo:

     PCI_MSI
	select GENERIC_MSI_IRQ

     PCI_MSI_IRQ_DOMAIN
     	def_bool y
	depends on PCI_MSI
	select GENERIC_MSI_IRQ_DOMAIN

Ergo PCI_MSI enables PCI_MSI_IRQ_DOMAIN which in turn selects
GENERIC_MSI_IRQ_DOMAIN. So all the dependencies on PCI_MSI_IRQ_DOMAIN are
just an indirection to PCI_MSI.

Match the reality and just admit that PCI_MSI requires
GENERIC_MSI_IRQ_DOMAIN.
