[ Upstream commit 47112e25da41d9059626033986dc3353e101f815 ] This patch clamps the cscov setsockopt values to a maximum of 0xFFFF. Setsockopt values greater than 0xffff can cause an unwanted wrap-around. Further, IPv6 jumbograms are not supported (RFC 3838, 3.5), so that values greater than 0xffff are not even useful. As shown by Gurudas Pai recently, we can put hugepages into the surplus state (by echo 0 > /proc/sys/vm/nr_hugepages), even when /proc/sys/vm/nr_overcommit_hugepages is 0. This is actually correct, to allow the original goal (shrink the static pool to 0) to succeed (we are converting hugepages to surplus because they are in use). Checkpatch will throw an error if code doesn't use the correct initializers for static spinlocks: ERROR: Use of SPIN_LOCK_UNLOCKED is deprecated: see Documentation/spinlocks.txt This is fine, but Documentation/spinlocks.txt isn't very clear on how to _use_ the new initializers for static variables.
